Red Grouse are an iconic Scottish species and this guided wildlife photography day will focus on getting close to these wary yet beautiful birds. We will venture out on to the heather moors of the Cairngorms National Park and photograph red grouse from the car and on foot, crawling across the heather to get close. We will focus on red grouse portraits, behaviour and setting the bird in its landscape.
Mountain Hares are wonderful, trusting animals that are fun to photograph. On this guided mountain hare wildlife photography day, we will spend the day getting close to mountain hares in the Cairngorms National Park. We will on getting close mountain hare portraits as well as documenting their behaviour and setting them in their landscape.
In the mountains of the Cairngorms National Park lives the Ptarmigan, they change colour with the seasons and are quite trusting for a game bird. This guided wildlife photography day will focus on getting close to ptarmigan in the mountains. We will focus on getting ptarmigan portraits, behaviour and setting the bird in the landscape.
To capture the best light for landscape photography we need to be out at sunrise and sunset, this overnight wild camping landscape photography trip enables us to do that. We will meet on day 1 and take a hike into a remote area of the Cairngorms National Park, we will set up our camp and spend the night under the stars. After taking some great sunset landscape pictures, there is the possibility of astrophotography, and of course the sunrise the next morning!
