A late night adventure stumbling around the forest trying to capture my first astro-photograph, an interesting star trail over the wonderful Scottish Loch Garten. As you progress through the forest you will come to Lochan Uaine, a small loch with bright emerald green water, a lovely picnic spot!
Can you get bored of a photogenic location? When you constantly photograph the same place can you get bored of it even though it is gloriously beautiful? I think its important to have a location near to your home that you can visit repeatedly but I sometimes struggle for inspiration. Do you agree?

What is Metering? Metering measures the light in a scene and tells you what exposure you need to get a good exposure. This article introduces the concept of metering and the different modes that your camera has to measure light in the environment. An introduction to the various metering modes, such as Evaluative Metering, Spot Metering, Partial Metering and Centre Weighted Average Metering Modes.
Tour around Loch Ness and visit several locations that are great for photography! Starting point is the grand waterfall: the Falls of Foyers on the eastern side of Loch Ness. After that time to go to the southern tip of the Loch and see the Caledonian Canal at Fort Augustus. Heading north next stop is the rapids at Invermoriston and the last stop is Urquhart Castle, a ruin sitting on the shore of Loch Ness.
A photography challenge where flowers are your main subject. Macro and Landscape photography are brilliant topics to explore with using flowers to add colour and contrast. A great subject that always inspires me, and I hope that it inspires you to! So pick up your camera and get some flower photos!
